Most women in tech in LA don't know each other. This morning is built to fix that.

Forty women in one room. Half are technical. Half are not. Everyone has been pre-matched based on what they're working on, what they're looking for, and where they want to go next. Twenty conversations. Three hours. You walk out with the names of the women you've been trying to find.

Who This Is For

One room. Two sides.

The technical side

Engineers, CTOs, technical founders

You can build. You're considering what to build next, or who to build it with. You're tired of being the only technical woman in the room at most events.

You're here because:

  • You're open to meeting a non-technical co-founder with a real idea and the discipline to execute
  • You're scoping a fractional CTO role and want to meet founders before you commit
  • You want to know the other senior technical women in LA, not just the ones at your company
  • You're looking for a technical hire and want to know who's actually available

The non-technical side

Founders, operators, product leaders

You have a business or a real idea. You've gotten as far as you can without a technical partner. You don't want a stranger from an app. You want to meet someone you'd actually want to work with.

You're here because:

  • You're looking for a technical co-founder and you're done swiping
  • You're hiring your first engineer and want a referral, not a job board
  • You're an operator who needs a technical partner to advise on a build decision
  • You want to be in a room of women who are doing the same thing you are
The Format

How the morning runs.

You'll arrive with a pairing card waiting for you. Twenty rounds. Three to five minutes each. Prompts on the table to skip the small talk. A fireside before, real networking after. You'll know exactly what to do.

10:00

Arrival

Coffee, badges, pairing cards. A few minutes to settle in and see who's in the room.

10:30

Fireside conversation

A real co-founder duo — one technical, one not — on how they actually met, what they vet for, what almost broke them, and what worked. Speakers announced in early June.

11:00

Speed dating

Twenty rounds of three to five minute pairings. Prompts on the table. Pairings are built from the survey you'll fill out after registering, so every conversation has a reason.

12:00

Open networking

An hour for the conversations that need more time. Coffee, the room, and the women you've just met. No structure — this is the hour you'll actually exchange numbers and figure out next steps.

What's Included

Your ticket gets you.

Twenty pre-matched conversations

Based on the matchmaking survey you complete after registering. We do the work of putting you in front of the right women.

A printed pairing card

Your schedule for the morning, the names of the women you'll meet, and a few notes about each one. You walk in knowing.

An Industrious day pass

A complimentary day pass to Industrious so you can keep working after the event, or come back another day to keep the conversation going.

Attendee directory

Names, companies, and links for everyone you met, sent to your inbox the same evening. Opt-in only.

Good Questions

Things worth knowing.

Who actually shows up?
Forty women, capped, screened through a registration survey. Half technical (engineers, technical founders, CTOs, senior ICs) and half non-technical (founders, operators, product leaders). Mostly LA-based, mostly building or running something. Anonymous numbers won't help you — the survey gives us enough context to pair people who should actually meet.
Is this a co-founder matching event?
It's broader than that. Some women come looking for a co-founder. Some come for a technical hire, an advisor, a fractional partner, or just to know the other women in their part of the industry. The format works for all of it. You tell us what you're looking for on the survey, and we pair accordingly.
How does the matching work?
After you register on Luma, you'll get a short survey covering what you're working on, what you're looking for, your background, and your preferences. We use that to build the twenty pairs. You arrive with a printed card showing your schedule and a sentence about each person.
What's the ticket cost?
$25. The event is not a profit-making one for us — the ticket covers operational costs and signals real commitment from the people in the room. Industrious provides venue and hospitality through Built to Lead's existing partnership.
Can I just come for the networking portion?
You can, but you still need to register and the capacity is capped at 40. The 12-1pm open networking is built on the conversations from the speed dating — coming in cold means missing most of what's happening. Worth showing up for the whole morning.
Can I bring a friend?
Send them the registration link rather than bringing them. Every attendee goes through the survey to keep the room useful for everyone. They can apply on their own, and if there's a spot, they're in.
I'd like to sponsor. Who do I talk to?
Three sponsorship tiers (Spotlight $500, Presenting $1,500, Signature $3,000). Closing date Friday, June 20. Reach out to Shelin David at shelin@cfoworxglobal.com or Jasmeet Kaur at jasmeet@luviraconsulting.com.
